'The Crown' is getting ready for its next season, which is supposed to be the most fascinating season among all. Season 5 of the hit Netflix series will begin production in July, according to the show's creators.

The iconic royals will be played by a new cast of actors this season, with Elizabeth Debicki of 'Tenet' starring as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Imelda Staunton as the Queen, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.

Crew members are beginning to return to Elstree Studios, just north of London, where the majority of the Left Bank-produced show is shot, and cameras are expected to begin rolling under strict COVID-19 protocols. It is hoped that by July, the Uk would be well on its way to recovering from the pandemic's devastating effects.

Season 4 of 'The Crown' wrapped shooting early, just in time for the UK's first lockdown in March 2020. Despite this, Sony-backed Left Bank was able to complete the series in time for its November premiere.

The most recent season, which saw the long-awaited arrival of Princess Diana (Emma Corrin), has reignited the Peter Morgan-created series, attracting large audiences and winning acclaim, including Golden Globes and SAG Awards this season. .

Season 5 of this series will focus on the early 1990s, which was a time of great turmoil for the Royal Family. Debicki, Staunton, and others will comprise the final cast for the show, which is expected to end with season 6, which will take the series up to the early 2000s after some back and forth. This means that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will never appear on the show.
