SAJIDA Foundation launches probe into employee's comment on actress Sabnam Faria's video

SAJIDA Foundation has launched a probe into the indecent comment made by one of its employees on a video clip of actress Sabnam Faria on social media.
In a statement today (20 March), the organisation said, "An investigation by our Safeguarding Committee is already underway, and appropriate action will be taken [in this regard] in accordance with our policies."
The statement said, "We strongly condemn the Facebook comment made on 18th March by Mr. Rakibul Hasan, an employee of SAJIDA. Such behaviour - whether during or outside of regular office hours - is completely unacceptable."
"SAJIDA Foundation was founded with a vision to ensure Health, Happiness and Dignity for All. Upholding human dignity is at the core of our mission and is reflected in every aspect of our work. We expect all our employees to embody and demonstrate such values," it added.
Incidentally, Rakibul Hasan made the comment on the video clip, captured at an event with cricketers, in which the actress is seen laughingly saying, "I won't stand next to Taskin, I will seem shorter. Brother Tamim, you come."
Meanwhile, Sabnam Faria, in a Facebook post on Wednesday, has appreciated the SAJIDA Foundation's steps over the matter.
"I appreciate SAJIDA Foundation for taking this matter seriously and upholding their commitment to dignity and respect. Their prompt response sends a strong message that such conduct has consequences, no matter where it happens," she wrote in the post attaching the SAJIDA Foundation statement.
