Linkin Park rocks the Champions League Final
Music and football fans were treated to a thrilling surprise at the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday night as iconic American rock band Linkin Park delivered a powerful six-minute performance at the Allianz Arena.
The mini-concert took place moments before the teams walked onto the pitch for the national anthem and kickoff.
Opening with 'The Emptiness Machine,' the lead track from their chart-topping comeback album 'From Zero, ' the band seamlessly transitioned into their classic hit 'In the End.'
The crowd reached a fever pitch during their third track, the fan-favourite 'Numb' (Encore version), as thousands joined in on the soaring chorus.
Linkin Park also teased a snippet of their newest single, 'Up from the Bottom,' before closing out with the explosive 'Heavy Is the Crown,' as lights dimmed and football commenced.
The performance comes amid the band's triumphant return to the spotlight with From Zero, their first album in seven years. The record has dominated global charts and streaming platforms, with 'The Emptiness Machine' becoming the biggest rock song of 2024.
According to Billboard, Linkin Park was the only rock act to surpass two billion streams in 2024, cementing their legacy in music history.
