Katy Perry returns with all-female crew on historic spaceflight

Pop star Katy Perry safely returned to Earth alongside five other women after an 11-minute Blue Origin space flight.
The crew included Lauren Sánchez, fiancée of Jeff Bezos, CBS anchor Gayle King, former NASA scientist Aisha Bowe, activist Amanda Nguyen, and producer Kerianne Flynn. The rocket launched from West Texas, reaching over 100km above Earth, granting a few moments of weightlessness.
Upon landing, Perry said she felt "super connected to life," and kissed the ground while lifting a daisy skyward—her daughter's name. King also knelt to kiss the Earth, while Sánchez tearfully reflected on the experience. Jeff Bezos opened the capsule to greet the returning crew. The spacecraft was fully autonomous, marking a milestone for women in space exploration.
