Dua Lipa and Nile Rodgers bring disco magic to MSG

Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism World Tour reached dazzling heights in New York on Sunday when the pop star welcomed legendary guitarist Nile Rodgers to the stage. Performing at Madison Square Garden for the third night of her four-show run, the British-Albanian singer thrilled fans with a surprise rendition of Chic's 1978 disco anthem 'Le Freak'.
Rodgers, co-founder of Chic and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, joined Lipa for the high-energy performance, blending disco grooves with her modern pop flair. The crowd erupted as the pair danced and sang together, creating one of the tour's most memorable moments.
Lipa, 30, has made a habit of honouring local music culture during her US shows. Earlier MSG performances included covers of Alicia Keys' 'No One' and Blondie's 'One Way or Another' cementing her as an artist who both celebrates and reinvents musical heritage.
