Cobra Kai star Courtney Henggeler quits acting after two decades

Courtney Henggeler, best known for playing Amanda LaRusso in Netflix's 'Cobra Kai', has announced her retirement from acting after over 20 years in the industry.
In a heartfelt blog post, she revealed, "I called my agents and told them I was tapping out." Henggeler reflected on her journey — from her first TV role on 'House' to her recent appearance in 'The Boys in the Boat' — describing the industry as a relentless "machine" she no longer wishes to serve.
"I want to be the machine," she declared in the post, urging others to reclaim their power. Cobra Kai concluded its sixth and final season in February 2025, marking the end of an era for the actress.
