Cate Blanchett Dazzles at Venice Premiere
Cate Blanchett lit up the Venice Film Festival on Sunday night with the world premiere of Jim Jarmusch's 'Father Mother Sister Brother', which earned a five-minute standing ovation inside the Sala Grande.
Blanchett, who plays dual sisters opposite Vicky Krieps, joined co-stars Charlotte Rampling, Mayim Bialik, Indya Moore and Luka Sabbat in celebrating Jarmusch's return to Venice after 22 years.
Absent were Adam Driver and Tom Waits, who portray a father-son duo in the triptych drama. The film explores fractured family ties across three stories set in the US, Ireland and France, and is produced by Saint Laurent Prods., Mubi, and The Apartment, among others.
