Bafta sweeps in with big wins

The 2025 Bafta TV Awards delivered a star-studded celebration of small-screen brilliance, with 'Mr Bates vs the Post Office' winning Limited Drama and clinching the P&O Cruises Memorable Moment for Jo Hamilton's emotional helpline call. 'Blue Lights' snagged Best Drama Series, while 'Shōgun' claimed International honours.
Acting winners included Marisa Abela (Industry) and Lennie James (Mr Loverman) for Leading Actress and Actor, with Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer) and Ariyon Bakare (Mr Loverman) taking home Supporting awards.
In comedy, Ruth Jones returned triumphantly as Nessa in Gavin & Stacey, while Danny Dyer won for Mr Bigstuff.
Joe Lycett bagged Entertainment Performance, and 'Would I Lie to You?' topped the Entertainment Programme category. Factual standouts included 'Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour' and 'To Catch a Copper'.
The moving 'Ukraine: Enemy in the Woods' won Single Documentary, while 'State of Rage' secured Current Affairs. 'Paris 2024 Olympics' took the Sports crown, and 'Glastonbury 2024' earned Best Live Event.
