EWUBC's briefcase 3.0 event comes to a close

The Grand Finale of BriefCase 3.0, a national business case competition, brought together bright young minds from universities nationwide to demonstrate their problem-solving skills.

Organised by the East West University Business Club (EWUBC), the event highlighted the next generation of business leaders' creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking.

As a flagship initiative marking EWUBC's 25-year journey, BriefCase 3.0 aimed to bridge academic theory with real-world business challenges. Presented by Nippon Paint, powered by Yamaha, co-sponsored by Speed, and associated with Monno Ceramics, the competition featured ten teams from top universities, each delivering innovative solutions to complex business cases.

Prominent corporate figures, including Mr Rasheed Islam, Managing Director of Monno Ceramics, Mr Robin Mia, Head of Marketing at Nippon Paint Bangladesh, and S.M. Mehedi Al Sheraji Shiblu, Senior Manager Brand at Akij Food & Beverage Ltd., attended the event to support and inspire participants. They shared insights on innovation and adaptability, encouraging students to embrace creative problem-solving as they transition from academia to industry. Event sponsors, judges, and campus ambassadors were also honoured with tokens of appreciation for their contributions.

A distinguished panel of judges evaluated the competition, offering valuable feedback based on their expertise. The panel included Navid Sarwar, Country Consultant for Bangladesh at Lidl & Kaufland Asia Pte. Limited, Md. Naimul Haque, Head of Digital Branding & Retail Branding at Marketing & Communication, and Shoaib Haque, Director of Strategic Brand Communication at Expressions Ltd. The judges focused on innovation, feasibility, and market potential while assessing the business cases.

The competition concluded with the announcement of the top three teams. Team Nexaur emerged as champions, earning a cash prize of 1 lakh taka and gift hampers for their outstanding presentation and innovative approach. Team ISB claimed the first runner-up position, receiving 60,000 takas for their structured and analytical business plan. In contrast, Team Mockingjay secured the second runner-up position, winning 40,000 takas for showcasing vital market insights.

The prize distribution ceremony was filled with excitement as the winners were celebrated for their achievements. Beyond being a contest, BriefCase 3.0 allowed participants to engage with real-world business scenarios, develop practical skills, and network with industry leaders. This year's event also celebrated EWUBC's legacy and commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing students to excel in their future careers.

The success of this year's competition reaffirms EWUBC's dedication to providing impactful platforms for student growth and innovation. As BriefCase 3.0 concludes, the club looks forward to raising the bar for future editions, continuing to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the business world.
