With assistance from the School of Science and Engineering, Presidency University is hosting a five-day celebration of 'CSE FEST 2024' from 17 November to 21 November.

The programme's motto is to celebrate the freshers' orientation and many exciting events to spread the zeal of the department's 21-year prosperity among fresh minds.

The set of events aims to encourage curious minds to participate in a series of revolutionary programs like the Programming Contest, Artificial Intelligence Contest, Live Robot Show, workshop on Robotics, Industry Talks, quiz competition, indoor and outdoor games, photography contest, story writing contest, Inter-University Poster Presentation for the students of universities around the country, Teacher vs Student Cricket Tournament and many more. The Department of CSE organises all these events. Faculty members and students worked countless hours to ensure the inauguration program ran smoothly on 17th November 2024. Eventually, all the events were announced with a curtain drop and a big round of applause. The grand starting of the event is proof that the students and the faculties here are indeed spectacularly talented, having a huge latent potential in them.

The first day began with the AI contest and Workshop on Robotics hosted by the AI Club of Presidency University. The students' enthusiasm was boosted by the welcoming address given by Professor Dr Shahidul Islam Khan, the Dean of the School of Engineering. During the inauguration program, the Registrar of Presidency University, Mr Sakir Hossain, was present as the guest of honour, and the Principal Advisor, Prof. Dr Md. Anwarul Kabir, was present as the Chief Guest. On that day, an announcement was made about the most awaited Teachers vs Students Cricket match, which created a thrilling environment with the cheers of the students and the teachers. With the combined efforts of the volunteers and the faculty supervisors, the first day ended successfully.

With Professor Dr Mohammad Kaykobad present, the following days will be even more engaging and motivating as he will offer his thoughts on the research and extracurricular activities of CSE students as well as a few success stories. Professor Dr Farzana Alam will share her insightful thoughts on Humanity-Driven Engineering Education: Crafting and the Future of Bangladesh. Since the festivities occur from morning to evening, they have captured most of the students' attention. Additional seminars will be held, with speakers from the top IT firms in the nation focusing on career talks. The Inter-University Poster Presentation will be facilitated by research enthusiasts from different universities nationwide in the coming days. The CSE Fest will end on 21st November 2024 with Fresher's reception programme and a colourful cultural show by the students.
