Mymensingh Education Board is at the bottom of this year's HSC and equivalent examination results among the 11 education boards in terms of pass rate, according to the results published today.

The pass rate of Mymensingh Education Board is 63.22 percent while Madrasa Education Board secured the top position with 93.40 percent pass rate among the 11 education boards.

A total of 77,621 students, including 37,453 male and 40,168 female, appeared in the HSC exams under Mymensingh board this year while 49,069 students passed the exams successfully.

Besides, the Technical Education Board secured the second position with 88.09 percent pass rate among the 11 education boards while Sylhet Education board secured the top position among nine general education boards with 85.39 percent pass rate.

Among the other education boards, the pass rate in Barishal is 81.85 percent, in Rajshahi is 81.24 percent, in Dhaka 79.21 percent, in Dinajpur 77.56 percent, in Cumilla 71.15 percent, Chattogram 70.32 percent and in Jashore 64.29 percent.
 
On an average, 77.78 percent of the examinees passed the HSC and equivalent examinations held under 11 education boards of the country this year with 1,45,911 candidates getting GPA-5 (maximum grade point average) while the pass rate of the HSC exams in nine general boards is 75.56 percent.

Out of 13, 31,058 examinees who appeared in the examinations, 10,35,309 students have been successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
