In a separate incident, a housewife named Jahura Khatun was struck by lightning while working near her home in Farakpur village.

She was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Touhidul Islam Tuhin said nine people were brought to the hospital and four of them died before reaching the hospital.
