The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2024 took place in Abu Dhabi, bringing together the biggest stars from the Hindi film industry.

One major highlight from the award show, that surfaced on social media, is a video capturing actor Bobby Deol's heartwarming reaction as he wins Best Actor in a Negative Role for his portrayal of Abrar Haque in Animal (2023).

The audience could not stop themselves from roaring in delight as the actor received his trophy. Giving fans what they want, as they celebrated his victory, Bobby recreated his iconic hook step on Jamal Kudu by placing a glass on his head and dancing. Well, netizens are over the moon with joy after Bobby's deserving win.

However, they had a very different reaction to superstar Shah Rukh Khan being honoured as Best Actor for Jawan (2023). By the looks of angry tweets, some fans seem to think Animal actor Ranbir Kapoor was a more deserving contender for the award.

One fan wrote on X, "SRK winning Best Actor at IIFA, while nominees include much more brilliant performances: Ranbir fr Animal, Ranveer fr Rocky Rani, Vikrant fr 12th Fail, Vicky fr SamBahadur: is reminiscent of years old fake awards shows where 'u perform n u get an award'. JOKE!!"

"#Srk getting best actor award instead of #RanbirKapoor𓃵 is totally wrong in jawan srk was in his usual style Ntg new but in #Animal ranbir has given his one of the best performance," wrote another.

Another one wrote, "Ranbir kapoor is the worthy of best actor award for Animal. Just because he didn't accepted to dance in IIFA 2024, they gave best actor award to chapri dancer Shah Rukh Khan."

Ranbir, who celebrated his 42nd birthday on 28 September, gave the award show a miss along with his actor wife Alia Bhatt. In your opinion, who truly deserves the Best Actor award for their incredible work this year— Ranbir or Shah Rukh?
