Complaints can be lodged in writing from 10:30am till 4pm on weekdays until 10 October

The deadline for filing complaints with the government's Commission of Inquiry to investigate cases of enforced disappearances has been extended to 10 October, instead of the previous 30 September deadline. 

Complaints can be lodged in writing from 10:30am till 4pm on weekdays until 10 October, according to a notification signed by the commission's Public Relations Officer Nasir Uddin on Monday (24 September). 

Victims of enforced disappearances, their family members, relatives, or any witnesses of the incident, between 6 January 2009 and 5 August 2024, can lodge the complaint in person, by post or via email.

The commission also said appointments can be made through the hotline before submitting a complaint during the specified period.

The hotline number: 01701 662120, 02-58812121 and email: edcommission.bd@gmail.com were stated in the notification.
