Govt facing obstacles in establishing social justice: Anti-discrimination Student Movement
The interim government is facing obstacles in establishing social justice, the Anti-discrimination Student Movement coordinators said today (16 September).
In a statement sent to the media, the movement coordinators said, "The interim government is in charge of rebuilding the state. However, it can be observed that despite their presence, there is a delay in establishing the rule of law. The government is facing various obstacles in establishing social justice. Besides, there is a lack of implementation of the government's plan to create an inclusive democratic society in Bangladesh."
According to the statement, a group of extremists have been attacking shrines across the country.

Expressing concerns over the issue, the Anti-discrimination Student Movement coordinators demanded that those responsible be brought to book.
It also said Bangladesh should be made inhabitable for minorities of different religions.
The government should protect the minority Muslim communities, otherwise it will fail in establishing an inclusive society, said the statement.
Calling on the interim government, the Anti-discrimination Student Movement said it should ensure proper rule of law in the country and a democratic, egalitarian and humane Bangladesh should be put on the world map. "Only then will the sacrifice of the martyrs of the July uprising will be truly dignified."
Abu Bakr Majumder, one of the coordinators, sent the statement to the media on behalf of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
