Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury new chairman of Biman
Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, a former adviser of the caretaker government, has been appointed as the new chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry issued a gazette notification on 18 August, relieving former chairman Mostafa Kamal Uddin and appointing Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury as the new chairman.
Muyeed was appointed to the post according to the Section 38 of Articles of Association of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited under the Companies Act, 1994.

Bringing a wealth of experience to the role, Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury previously served as the managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from 1991 to 1994. His return to the national carrier represents a significant leadership change, with the goal of guiding Biman to new heights.
Over the course of his extensive career, Muyeed has held various key positions within the government and ministry, including serving as a former government secretary.
