Technical glitch grounds returning Hajj flight in Ctg; sole runway shut for 2 hrs
The plane came to an unexpected halt at the end of Runway-23 due to a technical issue, leading to the suspension of both domestic and international flight operations for around two hours, according to airport authorities.

A return Hajj flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Saudi Arabia's Medina experienced a technical issue upon landing at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport this morning (5 July).
The flight BG138, carrying 387 pilgrims, touched down at approximately 9:30am.
According to airport authorities, the plane came to an unexpected halt at the end of Runway-23 due to a technical issue, leading to the suspension of both domestic and international flight operations for around two hours.
Public Relations Officer of the airport, Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, confirmed that the aircraft was later towed to the apron at around 11:20am after the issue was resolved.
"The runway was closed for approximately two hours due to this unexpected incident. It is now fully operational," he said.
While no injuries were reported, the temporary runway closure affected scheduled flights.
Airport authorities said further details regarding delays and rescheduling will be made available later.
