201 deputy secretaries now become joint secretaries
A total of 201 deputy secretaries and officials of equivalent rank have been promoted to the position of joint secretaries.
In a major promotion by the government, earlier on 13 August, among these joint secretaries, there are officials who had moved up a notch to the post of deputy secretaries from senior assistant secretaries.
In other words, these officials got two promotions in just five days.
