Bestselling writer Stephen King was supposed to play a guest role in a now scrapped TV series called "The Dark Tower"- which is based on his fantasy/horror book series.
Following the tragic news that Amazon had scrapped its series adaptation of the Stephen King novel franchise The Dark Tower, details have continued to emerge regarding the plans for it, including a new revelation that the author himself was set to appear as a character in the show.
Planned showrunner Glen Mazzara revealed there were plans for the series to get just as meta as the novels with King appearing as himself as a character in the same way as the books.
