Bangladesh High Commission London donated food items to Tower Hamlets Food Bank
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen sent food items which Bangladesh High Commission in London handed over to the Food Bank of Tower Hamlets on Tuesday.
A high-ranking official of the High Commission handed over the food items to Tower Hamlets Deputy Speaker Councilor Mohammad Ahbab Hossain. Mile End Ward Councilor Asma Islam and Reverend James, among others, were present at the time. Food items include international standard dried food produced in Bangladesh.
Mohammad Ahbab Hossain said the food items would be delivered to the elderly and people in need of food assistance in the community through volunteers from various food banks approved and listed by Tower Hamlets, including the Covid-19 team, Mile End and Care House Food Bank.

The Deputy Speaker thanked the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh for gifting the food items and the Bangladesh High Commission London for handing over these food items to the Food Bank of Tower Hamlets.
