Born in Kingston upon Thames in London, to Nicola Elizabeth - a photographer, and Dominic Holland - a comedian and author, Thomas Stanley Holland is their first son and now he is commonly known as Tom Holland - the acclaimed actor who turns 24 today.

His family grew with the birth of his three younger brothers - twins Harry Holland and Sam Holland, and Patrick Holland, also known as Paddy.

Holland's childhood dream was to be Spiderman, which ultimately came true. He first stepped foot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with "Captain America: Civil War". Soon after, his first solo film "Spiderman Homecoming" was released and Tom rose to fame playing the character of Peter Parker/Spiderman as the greatest Spiderman.

But the greatest Spiderman in history was not always this popular. Holland had to work hard to achieve success. His first appearance on the big screen was in the 2000 musical "Billy Elliot". Holland still had not landed a big role in the musical, but he started coming under limelight by portraying Lucas in the disaster movie "The Impossible" as people started noticing him more. The role of Lucas earned Holland the London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year. He was a recipient of the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2017.

As he grew in scope, Holland starred in "Avengers Infinity War" and "Avengers Endgame," two of the highest grossing films ever. Soon afterwards, his second film "Spiderman Far From Home" was released, which also received commercial success.

Holland was educated at Donhead, a Roman Catholic preparatory school in Wimbledon in South West London. Later, he went to Wimbledon College, a voluntary aided Jesuit Roman Catholic comprehensive school.

After college, he pursued higher education at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon. Holland had once said that he was bullied in school for dancing, which later came in handy when he started towards the path of stardom.

Stepping deeper into his twenties, this superhero has already placed himself in the hearts of many and his well wishers hope he continues doing so for years to come.
