Ctg garment workers protest over due payment

Workers of three garment factories have staged protest over due salaries in Chattogram.

The workers of A&B Outer Limited, Cold Play and Norm Limited at 4th and 5th Road of Export Processing Zones (EPZs) have been protesting since early this morning as owners of the factories did not make their payment despite the assurance to pay their salaries by May 21.

Assistant Superintendent of EPZ Police Helal Uddin Bhuiyan said, "Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) are holding meeting with workers and employers on the issue."

A worker of A&B Outer Limited MD Masud said, "We are not getting salaries since February this year. We are in pain for this."
