BPMCA withdraws decision to cut salaries and bonuses over doctors’ protest

The Bangladesh Private Medical College Association (BPMCA) withdrew its decision this morning to withhold bonus and cut 60 percent salary of absent doctors and nurses in the wake of protests by doctors.
Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, general secretary of BPMCA and state minister for disaster management and relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman said, "Most of our members have agreed on the basis of a prior decision to give full salary and bonus even if it causes us trouble."
"That is why we have changed our earlier decision to cut salaries and not give bonuses," he added.
