Sources at the district health department said among the five who received wellness certificates on Wednesday, two are from Bamna upazila and three from Barguna Sadar upazila. One of the five former Covid-19 patients is a woman.

The two people from Bamna are 52 and 45 years old, while the remaining three from Sadar upazila are 45, 66 and 70 years old.

Responding to query, Dr Kamrul Azad, head of the isolation ward at Barguna General Hospital said, "They made a full recovery because they received proper healthcare on time. We gave them symptomatic treatment and mental support."

Echoing the same opinion, superintendent of Barguna General Hospital Md Sohrab Uddin said, "Till now ten patients have fully recovered in our district. This credit goes to all our healthcare workers including the doctors, nurses, technologists."

As of Wednesday, 30 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Barguna, and two have died of the disease.
