Bogura Police organises online essay writing, cultural competition

The deadline for submission of essay, drawing and videos of music and recitation is May 5. The results will be announced on the Facebook page of Bogura Police on May 15

Students, as well as their parents, are now stuck at home due to the on-going public holidays amid coronavirus outbreak. So Bogura Police have arranged an online essay writing and cultural competition for the students and guardians.

Bogura Police Super Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, said, "The aim of this event is to help the students and parents get out of boredom and also gain knowledge." Parents will have to write an essay on the origins, causes and prevention of domestic violence within 600 words.

Students can participate in essay writing, drawing, singing and recitation competitions. They will have to email their essays, drawing and videos of singing or recitations to spbogura@gmail.com.

The deadline for submission of essay, drawing and videos of music and recitation is May 5. The results will be announced on the Facebook page of Bogura Police on May 15.

The contest is open for all.

Students from higher secondary to master's level are in group 'Ka' and their theme of essay writing is 'What is quarantine and why is physical awareness important in the context of coronavirus.' The word limit is 600 words.

Students from class six to class ten are in 'Kha' group and they will have to write an essay on 'Bangabandhu's childhood, adolescence and student life' within 500 words. Students from class three to five are in group 'Ga' and they can write an essay on 'How the holidays are passing' within 300 words.

Besides, students from class one to eight can participate in drawing competition. The topic for class one to three is the nature of Bangladesh. For class four to six, it is the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the Independence while for class seven and eight the topic is coronavirus awareness.

There is a special group who can write on any topic. 

Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners at their respective homes.
