The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Detective Branch has arrested five people, including two suspended police constables, in connection with robbing a man of Tk20 lakh from the IFIC Bank's Paltan branch in Dhaka.

The incident took place this afternoon (21 September) when an employee of a businessman went to the IFIC Bank branch to deposit Tk20 lakh, Deputy Commissioner of Motijheel Division of DMP Hayatul Islam Khan confirmed the matter.

The DC said the man was standing in line to deposit money when two police constables in their uniforms pulled him out of there, snatched the money from him and fled the scene.
