The government has imposed restriction on going out of home after 6pm in a move to curb the spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
Legal action will be taken against the violators of the rules, says a Public Administration Ministry circular issued on Friday afternoon.
Mentioning that the general holidays have been extended till April 25 and these holidays should not be considered as regular ones, the ministry gave the following instructions for everyone to follow.

- Everyone has to stay indoors during the holidays to curb the spread of the virus. Citizens have been asked to go out only in case of emergency.
- No one can go outside after 6pm. Legal actions will be taken if anyone violates the rule.
- Travelling from one area to another has been restricted during the holidays.
- All officials in division/district/upazila/union level have been asked to stay in their workplace for duty.
The circular also mentioned that Bangladesh Bank will give directives on keeping the banks open on a limited scale.
Vehicles of emergency services including electricity, water, gas, fire service, cleaning, telephone and internet will be out of purview of the restrictions during the extended holidays.
So far, a total of 27 people have died from the deadly virus in the country and 424 people have been tested positive.
