Sindabad claims police hinder delivering emergency goods
Four trucks were stopped out of five and employees in the vehicles were also beaten up by the police
Sindabad.com, an online e-commerce platform, claimed police have hindered transporting emergency goods in some areas of the capital in the time of coronavirus outbreak.
The emergency goods included personal protective equipment (PPE), cooking oil and other medical and home essentials for clinics and households in capital's Uttara, Mohammadpur and Khilgaon areas.
Zeeshan Kingshuk Huq, co-founder & CEO of sindabad.com claimed that, four trucks were stopped out of five and employees in the vehicles were also beaten up by the police.

He also claimed, driver Shaheen and delivery Boy Kawser were rounded up into police vehicle for hours in Mohammadpur area although both of them were wearing proper safety equipment. Later, after repeated calls from Sindabad authorities, police released them.
"We have proper documents which were showed to police," Zeeshan told to The Business Standard.
Officer-in-Charge of Turag police station Nurul Muttakin told the Business Standard, "We didn't get any complain about it. Police are allowing all emergency services to work."
"We received complaints against the home delivery system as a result there are restrictions," Wahiduzzaman, additional deputy commissioner of Tejgaon division said.
