iflix content made free amid coronavirus 

Subscription based video streaming website iflix has made its content free to stream due to coronavirus. Viewers can now enjoy iflix contents without paying the subscription fees, said Wasif Khan, marketing communication manager of iflix Bangladesh.

"Due to the spread of coronavirus worldwide, everyone is stuck home. To make their time more enjoyable, we have made most contents on iflix free and also uploaded new content," he stated.

Among the newly added content, a good number of Bangladeshi drama and movies have been added to the list. "Most people subscribe to iflix for its Korean movies and series content, which can now be streamed for free," Wasif informed. 

"We have a huge number of Korean movies and series which are either subbed or dubbed in Bangla, so the viewers will have no trouble understanding the contents," Wasif said.
Korean drama has gained popularity among iflix users and they have been watching it alongside watching Bangladeshi content, he added. 

The list of popular content includes Bangla dubbed Korean series What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?; Korean comedy Welcome to Waikiki, which is one of the top rated Korean comedies of 2019; Bangla movies Jodi Akdin - Tahsan's first film, Dhaka Attack and Fagun Haway.

Iflix has a wide range of content under categories such as horror, animation, comedy, Chinese, Hindi, romantic and iflix original, with a separate category for children.

The video streaming company is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The service is available in 22 countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Srilanka, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. According to data from March 2019, iflix has more than 25 million viewers and the numbers are on the rise.

Iflix can be accessed through both the website or its app, which is available for download on Google Play Store and App Store.
