The government has decided to suspend domestic air connection in the country from Tuesday midnight (March 25) till further notice. 

Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mohibul Haque confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

Earlier in the day, the government suspended all public road transport from March 26 till April 4 amid the fears of novel coronavirus spread in the country, said a press release of Road Transport and Highway Division.

Similarly, all train services across the country will be suspended from today evening, Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon disclosed the matter at a press briefing.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has also suspended operations of all types of water vessels across the country. All 11 river ports will remain closed from 1pm today to until further notice.

Bangladesh confirmed four deaths from the novel coronavirus and 39 cases till date.
