Sweety, who just had started a new life, was returning to her father's home after attending a post-wedding reception at her in-law's house.  

But two boats, which was carrying her and 40 others, capsized in Padma River in Rajshahi on Friday. Thirty three people managed to swim to a sand-laden boat, but eight persons including Sweety went missing in the incident.

Three days after the tragic incident, the lifeless body of the new bride, wrapped in red saree and jewelries, was found by the fishermen early Monday, leaving her family members and relatives in grief.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Rescue and Investigation Coordinator Additional District Magistrate Abu Aslam said, "With Sweety, death toll in the boat capsize rose to nine."  

Earlier on Friday, two boats capsized while returning after the post-wedding ceremony at the groom's house at Char Khidirpur in Rajshahi.

Among the 33, who swam to the shore, seven were taken to hospital and a six-year-old girl named Marium was declared dead by the doctors.

Later, seven bodies were found on Saturday and Sunday. Only Sweety's dead body was missing till then.
