Dhaka South cleaner dies after being run over by bus

A Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) cleaner died after a bus rammed into him in Konapara area of Jatrabari on Thursday (10 November).

The deceased was identified as Md Sikander Ali, 50, a contractual cleaner of DSCC.

The driver of the Gabtali Express Bus and its helper have been arrested and handed over to Jatrabari police station, confirmed Bahauddin Bhuyian, assistant commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Jatrabari Traffic zone.

Following the accident, the victim was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
