Gulshan society hosts book fair

Gulshan Society hosted a book fair on 28-29 February in the capital's Gulshan Society Lake Park.

The planning and execution were jointly led by Gulshan Society's Barrister Shukla Sarwat Siraj and Shayaan Seraj which was open for all from 8am to 7pm. The fair included books, magazines and newspapers comprising of fiction and non-fiction, in both Bangla and English language.

"Our intention is to bring the bookstore experience to a natural surrounding and inspire readers. We were fortunate to have been able to execute the program in the historic month of February," Civic Utilities Convener Shayaan Seraj said.

There were several live readings and special offers for kids throughout the weekend. Several high-profile people visited the event.

Bengal Boi, UPL, Pathok Shomabesh, Charcha, CRI, Her Story, Cosmos, Bookworm, Boi Bichitra, Daily Star Books, Dhaka Tribune, The Business Standard, Milkshake Collective, Ignite, Prothom Alo, Pathao, Roll Express and Cha Chai participated in the event.
