Another corona-infected Bangladeshi released from Singapore hospital

Another Bangladeshi worker of the five, who were diagnosed with novel coronavirus in Singapore, has been released from Singapore hospital.

Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Professor Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora confirmed the matter during a press briefing in the capital today.

"The condition of another Bangladeshi worker is still critical," she confirmed.

The other two patients are in stable condition and expected to be released from the hospital soon, she added.

"No one has been detected with coronavirus infection in the country so far. We are prepared with all necessary measures to battle the virus," she confirmed.

Earlier, five Bangladeshi workers of Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site were found infected with the novel coronavirus in Singapore on the second week of this month. They had no recent travel history to China.

On February 27, one of the five Bangladeshi workers diagnosed with novel coronavirus in Singapore, has been released from the hospital and declared free of coronavirus.

They are being treated at National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) in Singapore.

Globally, at least 80,000 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus and the death toll reached to 2,835 till Saturday.
