Lokman Hossian joins BIDA as executive chairman
Lokman Hossain Mia joined as the executive chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) on Sunday for the next three years replacing the immediate past chairman Sirajul Islam.
Lokman Hossain served as the senior secretary of health ministry, secretary of textiles and jute ministry, divisional commissioner of Khulna, additional secretary of information and shipping ministry, director of labour department, member (admn) of power development board, deputy commissioner of Mymensingh and district magistrate.
He retired from government service on 14 June, 2022. But the government cancelled his post retirement leave (PRL) on 23 August and issued circular on his appoint of the BIDA executive chairman. As per the circular Lokman Hossain joined BIDA on 4 September, 2022 who will serve as a senior secretary.

Lokman Hossain was born at Gournadi upazila of Barisal in 1963. He had completed his graduation in History from Dhaka University.
