Not to meet red meat

While eating the last piece of mutton chap Mitu's cousin, Ratul, asked her, "So what are you going to eat tonight?" With a smiling face, Mitu replied, "Let's see."

And with more enthusiasm he said, "So? I Hear that you have turned into a vegetarian." "Not vegetarian. I am just skipping red meat" Mitu replied.

"No difference. Only red meat is counted as meat, others are just fallacy," with a shrug Ratul said while chewing. Mitu controlled her tempura and mouth with a smirk.

She decided not to reply. Then, Ratul stood up, pulled his pant up and went out. Mitu closed her eyes thinking, she won't be seeing any more meat for a while.

Mitu recently realised, all those Hindi romantic movies were saying truth for all these time, 'It's tough to give up on someone you love'. Yes! Giving up red meat proved it to her.

When she opened her eyes and saw her cousin, back with a bowl of spicy red meat that made her slavering. So, she mentally prepared herself to spoil one or two hours from her life.

"Do you just sit around and eat salads all day?" asked Ratul, while eating like a gross. Meanwhile he apologised in a way that actually meant nothing. Mitu said, "It's okay, bhaia. I eat everything other than red meat."

Then Ratul started repeating his story of his attempt to become a vegetarian, which lasted for half a day. Not to mention, I heard this story five hundred and three times more before this.

Mitu's Mejho Khala came into her room with rolling eyes and said, "Mitu! Google fast, what to do in constipation?" Mitu googled and said, "Drink water and eat more fibre. Instead of red meat."

The last sentence made her jaw hanged. And she said, "But red meat is my favorite. How can I resist myself?" Mitu replied in her head, "Just the way I did."

Being failed to crack the bone Ratul interrupted, "Maa, is not it too hot today? Then why am I sweating like heck?" Khala whispered something to him and Mitu remembered that Ratul was suffering from high pressure for last six years. Her Khala orderd her cousin to come with her. Ratul followed her like a cranky kid, not to give up on that bowl.

Seeing those two leaving the room, Mitu once again reminded herself, why she gave up red meat, because she didn't want to be like them.

Mitu felt light inside instantly. The rest few pieces of spicy red meat eye contacted with her. She remembered her khala and Ratul again, took that bowl to dining room and chose laccha semai and bread over red meat, for dinner.
