City polls: Fakhrul, Tabith invited to Atiqul’s event

Awami League nominated Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayoral candidate Atiqul Islam has invited BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party's mayoral candidate for Dhaka North Tabith Awal at an event on Sunday where he will announce his election manifesto. 

Atiqul Islam will announce the manifesto in the capital's Lakeshore Hotel at 10am tomorrow. 

Two invitation cards were sent to BNP's central office for Fakhrul and Tabith's office at Anchor Tower in the city respectively, confirmed Atiqul's election campaign organiser Toufiq Rahman.

Both of the invitation cards were accepted, said Towfiq, adding, "But they did not allow to take photo while handing over the cards. 

Aiqul declared the timing of his election manifesto announcement during an election gathering at ward 18 in Nodda area on Saturday morning.  

Making the declaration Atiqul said, "We will announce the manifest on Sunday. There will be surprise." 

He also pledged to present an active, healthy and humanitarian Dhaka.
