‘Two Rohingya drug dealers’ killed in Teknaf ‘gunfight’
RAB also recovered 10,000 yaba pills, two one shooter guns, five rounds of fresh cartridges and six rounds of cartridges shell from the spot
Two suspected Rohingya drug dealers were killed in a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Cox's Bazar Teknaf upazila early today.
The deceased were identified as Hed Majhi Abul Hashim, 30, and Mohammad Aiyub, 24. Both of them were from Kutupalong refugee camp in Ukhia.
According to RAB sources, a team of RAB-15 Crime Prevention Company (CPC-1) conducted a drive to recover illegal drugs at Marine Drive area of the upazila. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, armed drug dealers opened fire them forcing the elite force to retaliate.

RAB recovered two bullet-hit persons from the spot after the gunfight and took them to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital where they succumbed to injuries.
RAB also recovered 10,000 yaba pills, two one shooter guns, five rounds of fresh cartridges and six rounds of cartridges shell, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shah Alam, in-charge of Rab-15 CPC-2.
