Salah Uddin, Shafiul and Ujjwal were selected to cross the Bangla Channel after successfully swimming for four hours at a stretch at the swimming pool of Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park Gulshan Lake on Friday morning.

Salah Uddin said, "We, members of the swimming and water polo team of the university, have been selected for crossing the Bangla Channel."

"I grew up swimming in Kaptai Lake since childhood. I have been swimming and winning numerous prizes in various competitions since my school days. I have been dreaming since 2016 that one day I too will cross the Bangla channel. I have been preparing myself for five years to realise my dream," he added.
