How to register

Students need to complete the registration process as soon as possible on an urgent basis, the notice added.

To register for the vaccine, go to the https://surokkha.gov.bd/birth-reg-enroll address, enter the Birth registration menu, fill in the birth certificate number, date of birth and captcha code at the specified place and click on the 'Verify' button.

In the next form, you have to give the name and mobile number in English. Then you need to select the vaccination centre with the current address.

Students of educational institutions under Dhaka North City Corporation will select 'Dhaka North City Corporation' and 'Dhaka School Centre (North)' as the vaccination centre. Students of educational institutions under Dhaka South City Corporation will select 'Dhaka South City Corporation' and 'Dhaka School Centre (South)' as the vaccination centre.

After giving the information, you have to complete this process by clicking on the 'Complete Registration' button with the OTP code received in the SMS.

Vaccine cards can also be collected with the birth certificate number and date of birth in the 'Vaccine Card' menu of the Surokhkha website.

The date of vaccination will be notified via SMS and the educational institution in which the students will be vaccinated will also be informed.

If students can not register on Surokkha

If any student is not able to register on the Surokhka website as per the information sent earlier, their correct information has to be sent from the educational institution in an excel file in the correct format as per the previous instructions. The birth registration number should be sent in the text format and the specified date format in an Excel sheet (yyyy-mm-dd) by email (student.vaccination2021@gmail.com).

On Thursday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said, students aged between 12-17 will be inoculated from 1 November. Vaccination will first start at 12 centres in Dhaka. Gradually the whole country will be brought under the campaign.

"Considering our present situation, we will be able to administer 40 thousand doses every day, he added.

Earlier on 14 October, 120 students at four schools in Manikganj were given the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on a trial basis.
