Earlier, a media report on the hardship of Faruque came to the premier's notice.

According to locals, Faruque was the general secretary of Kabirhat Government Degree College unit of BCL during the BNP-Jamaat tenure in 2001 when he endured various types of torture and organized the Awami League's student wing.

Faruque, son of Mohammad Ullah, is now leading a very miserable life with his family members, including his mother, wife and four daughters.

His younger brother Parvez Mosharraf is now a member of Noakhali district BCL.
