Imrul Kayes, Tushar Imran test positive for Covid-19
Not only them but also three club officials have tested positive and will undergo another test on Saturday.
Experienced cricketers Imrul Kayes and Tushar Imran have tested positive for Covid-19, just days before the start of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL).
They have tested positive in the second round of screening, confirmed BCB's physician Dr Monjur Hossain Chowdhury. Kayes is supposed to play for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Imran for Brothers Union.
The players and officials have been screened quite a few times ahead of the tournament. Samples were collected on Friday and the results suggest that Kayes and Tushar have tested positive. They will be screened on Saturday again.

But confusion has been created on the screening process. Because a total of nine people- players and officials- tested positive on May 26 but recovered in a space of two days. Dr Chowdhury said that they will undergo another round of screening on Saturday.
Imrul Kayes is keeping well despite testing positive. "I am completely fine. There is no symptom. I hit the gym on Friday as well. But my report came positive. Today I have given samples in two labs," Kayes told The Business Standard.
Tushar Imran, the senior-most player of Brothers Union, said, "I was screened yesterday and tested positive. But I am asymptotic and keeping well. The team has checked in at the hotel but I have to wait."
The DPL, which is going to be played out in T20 format this year, is due to begin on May 31.
