Psychedelic drug LSD seized in Dhaka for first time

The Ramna Division of the Detective Branch (DB) of the DMP Police has seized psychedelic drug lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in a raid in the capital on Wednesday night. This drug has been recovered by the police for the first time in this country.

DB Additional Police Commissioner AKM Hafiz Akhter will provide details in this regard at a press conference at DMP Media Centre on Thursday at 2 pm.

The LSD drug has an effect on the brain that induces hallucinations. As a result, those who use this drug see things of different colours and shapes that do not exist in the world. The drug also enhances the functioning of all the nerves in the human brain.
