Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the national cricket team for ensuring a 2-0 series win against Sri Lanka.

By defeating Sri Lanka today with one match left, the Tigers won the first ODI series against Sri Lanka.

In a felicitation message, the cricket-lover prime minister greeted all the players, coach and officials of the national cricket team as well as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials concerned for beating Sri Lanka.

She expressed the hope that the winning spree of the Bangladesh cricket team would continue in future too.

Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the first one day on Sunday. Now it won the second match by 103 runs at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.
