No irregularities were found in the medical admission tests, said the Exam Committee of MBBS admissions after re-evaluating 5,000 answer scripts.

Upholding the result published on April 4, the body said the intakes of the 2020-2021 academic year will start on 22 May and continue until 7 June.

Earlier, a writ petition was filed with the High Court on Wednesday seeking cancellation of the medical intake results, alleging that it contained "numerous errors and major inconsistencies."

Amid the second wave of Covid-19 infections in the country, the MBBS admission tests for the 2021-22 academic session were held on 2 April in compliance with health guidelines.
