Stocks maintain gaining streak as companies report soaring share price

Equity indices of both the stock exchanges continued the winning streak today for the five straight sessions.

Following the bull-run on Tuesday, indices edged up as most of the companies' share price rose during the first hour of the trading session.

DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), upturned by 0.91% or 51.86 points to 5,697 till 11:00 am.

DSE turnover, an important market indicator, rose by 6% to Tk475.95 crore in the corresponding.

Meanwhile, DSE had 198 gainers against 92 losers, while prices of 58 scrips remained unchanged.

Beximco Limited secured the apex position on the DSE turnover chart, followed by BRAC Bank, British American Tobacco, and Robi.

The textile sector, however, saw price correction at the DSE today as the sector witnessed a price hike in the last few days.

The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 133 points to 16,464 till 11:00 am
