Top 5 budget laptops for students

In this day and age, especially during the pandemic, laptops are a must-have for students. All educational institutes are having online classes, so a good laptop is essential for students.

Different users require different types of laptops. For example, there are laptops designed specifically for gamers, and then there are some which are more suitable for graphic designers etc.

Students however mostly look for affordable laptops with good performance. We have listed five laptops that are perfect for them based on price, weight, usage, and durability.

Not only will these laptops help students in doing online classes, but they can also run some low-end games on them.

Please note that the prices might change over time.

This laptop is one of the best on this list. With Intel Core i5 10th Gen Processor, it promises to give a premium service.

There is an extra Ram slot if anyone needs them for gaming. This is a perfect laptop for every bookworm as it has 1TB of storage and runs smoothly.

However, the only problem is that the weight might be slightly more than most laptops at similar price.

It is recommended for use in the office or at home, but carrying it for a long time might be a bit inconvenient.

This laptop weighs less than the previous one while giving almost the same service as the Intel Core i-5 10th Gen Processor.

It has two years of international warranty with a 15.6-inch display which is perfect for watching movies as well as doing classes.

It has less Ram, which is 4GB and 1 TB of storage. It is available in silver colour.

Anyone who is looking for a lightweight laptop with good performance could go with this one.

Asus D509DJ-EJ030T

Price: Tk49,500

This is the only laptop that has AMD Ryzen as its processor rather than Intel. It has the same display of 15.6 inches, but has a comparatively narrower border, so it looks better.

It has an NVIDIA GeForce MX230 GDDR5 2GB graphics card with which you can do a little bit of gaming.

It comes in only one colour, which is transparent silver and weighs 1.7kg. Two years warranty surely makes it one of a kind.

MSI Modern 14 B10MW

It is much faster than any other laptop on the list. Even though it has less storage, you can always store your extra files in external hard disks.

It has one year of warranty and weighs the least on the list. If you are short on budget, then go for this laptop. It is best for online classes and daily use.

Lenovo IdeaPad S145

Price: Tk47,700

Processor: Intel Core i5-8265U Processor (6M Cache, 1.60 GHz up to 3.90 GHz)

The final laptop on the list is none other than the Lenovo IdeaPad. The IdeaPad series by Lenovo has a good reputation in the laptop industry.

It comes in two colours – Onyx Black Glossy and Platinum Grey. It weighs a bit more than the MSI laptop.

It has 14 inches of display, the same as the MSI laptop, but it might be slower.

It has 1TB of storage, meaning you can store many files in this one, and it has 4GB of DDR4 ram.

It has an 8th Gen Processor, which might be old, but if you use it only for online classes and official work, it is not a bad choice.

All the laptops mentioned in this article can be bought from Techland, Startech, Global Brand, or any other shops in IDB Bhaban, Multiplan Centre, or Bashundhara City Market.

It is to be noted that if you add more Ram or SSD or HDD, then the weight might increase.

Learning the basics of a laptop as a student will help you in future as office works too are mostly computer based.
