Bapi gets new executive committee

The election of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) for the period of 2021-22 and 2022-23 was held during the association's 50th annual general meeting on Wednesday.

In the meeting, Nazmul Hasan, chairman of Pharmatek Chemicals Ltd was re-elected as the president of the organisation, while Abdul Muktadir, chairman and managing director of Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd re-elected as senior vice-president.

Besides, Globe Pharmaceuticals chairman and managing director Harunur Rashid was re-elected as vice-president and Hudson Pharmaceuticals Ltd Managing Director SM Shafiuzzaman was re-elected as general secretary of the organization.

Muhammad Halimuzzaman, deputy managing director of Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd was reelected as treasurer.

Members of the organisation's executive committee for the period of 2021-22 and 2022-23 were also elected in the AGM.

All the members, including the members of the executive committee of the association were present at the meeting.

In the meeting, it was decided to ensure the quality of medicines, provide quality medicines to the people at low cost and take action against counterfeit, adulterated and substandard medicines.

The president and the general secretary of the organisation assured the members that all possible steps would be taken to uphold the reputation of the country's pharmaceutical industry.
