No casualties, production unaffected after fire at Incepta factory
While the blaze was brought under control within 30-40 minutes by the Fire Service and Civil Defence, company officials confirmed that the production area was untouched and damage was minimal, with zero casualties

A fire broke out yesterday (19 October) at a factory of Incepta Pharmaceuticals in Dhamrai, Dhaka, reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit.
While the blaze was brought under control within 30-40 minutes by the Fire Service and Civil Defence, company officials confirmed that the production area was untouched and damage was minimal, with zero casualties.
According to Md Zahidul Alam, general manager (Administration) at Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the fire was confined to a section of the service area at the back of the factory.
"The fire was in a part of the service area. There were no casualties, and the production area was completely safe," said the general manager. "The damage was very minor. It took about 30–40 minutes to control the fire and smoke."
