Rangpur Division smelling victory against Khulna Division in Tier-1 match at Rangpur thanks to right-arm pacer Mukidul Islam Mugdho's 12-wicket haul in the match. Rangpur need 101 more runs to win and they have all their wickets intact.
Mugdho bagged 6 wickets in each innings giving away 64 and 67 runs respectively. He was a tad expensive in the first innings with an economy rate of  4.80 but managed to bag important wickets when needed.
Khulna posted 221 runs in their first innings courtesy of their skipper Tushar Imran's 32nd first-class hundred.
Rangpur managed to score 364 in reply. Their skipper Ariful Haque missed a hundred by only 3 runs. All-rounder Nasir Hossain continued his good form and bagged yet another half-century.
Khulna had to score big to give themselves a chance in the match but they were bundled for 259 in the second innings which meant Rangpur's target was only 117 runs.
Rangpur's openers didn't let the Khulna bowlers cause any troubles late in the day and finished on 16/0.
Elsewhere, the matches between Sylhet-Dhaka and Chattogram-Dhaka Metro poised for an exciting final day.
Sylhet Division are leading by 273 runs with 4 wickets in hand.
Dhaka's captain Shuvagata Hom, who was unbeaten on 89 the other day, bagged a hundred. Sylhet's left-arm spinner Rahatul Ferdous picked up 7 wickets for 75 runs.
Sylhet finished the day on 183 for 6. Asadulla Al Galib is unbeaten on 74.
Chattogram and Dhaka Metro's match poised for an exciting draw on the final day.
Chattogram are currently leading by 178 runs in their second innings. They still have 9 wickets in hand. They will surely look for a safe score till lunch and wait to hunt the Dhaka Metro batsmen down as soon as they can.
Chattogram's left-arm spinner Hasan Murad bagged a five-for in Dhaka Metro's first innings.
Earlier, Rajshahi beat Barishal before lunch of the second day's play as Sunjamul Islam bagged 10 wickets in the match for 33 runs. This is the most economical haul of ten or more wickets in Bangladesh's first-class history
